If Cart and Cwidder had hidden depths, Drowned Ammet is all depths, and they’re right out of the open.

The plot is well resolved, albeit with a bit of convenience, maybe with a bit more magical help than I like, and with a plot twist that even though I saw it coming, I could hardly believe she had the effrontery to exercise.
The fantasy story is brilliant and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Plotewise I preferred book 1 – I think?

It provided a good counterbalance to the the first book in this series, since it took you inside the life of people living in the South.
