I knew a guy who joined the Mormon church because he thought it would help him date a certain Mormon girl, a girl who refused to date non-Mormons. Wow just found this blog and for the first time am in mid's feel some support as an MD's wife of 30 years who is socially isolated he has very few friendsgetting despondent, bitter and resentful due to having some expectations which are met with constant disappointment.
If everything she is taught is correct and the Mormon church is "true" she should be able to research any anti-Mormon books or movies and prove their criticisms are lies. I believe rules are to be obeyed. A shitty sex life, potentially. Is it wrong not to. If not watch it. Keep your options open. If your spouse thinks 8 is too young to get baptized, are you all right with waiting until they are older.
Of course she won't want to watch something that in her mind attacks her religion. Most of us were Mormons and one point, many of us were even TBMs. He suffers from cybersexual addiction and feels as though he can have and woo every woman he wants in this forum. It's a less common occurrence, but it happens. I'm on the same page as you. Mormons defintely play by a different rule set.
Now it's easier, as they are older, and he's making more time for them. There is no way I can compete with a suicide!!. But life is long and eternal and all righteous people will choose the right at the end. Tough to say what will impact your girl most - but there's your best LDS.
